Think of extensions as an extension of your own hair — the healthier your routine, the longer they’ll last.

Daily:

Take them off before bed, shower, gym, sauna, or swimming — it keeps them smooth and tangle-free.

Give them a gentle brush before and after (always start from the ends).

When you’re done, store them safely — either hang them up or keep them in the bag they come in (soon we’ll have silk pouches and hangers for extra glam storage).

Washing

Extensions don’t need to be washed often — only when they actually need it.

Halo: how often depends on you — how much you wear them and your lifestyle (daily wear, activity level, even how warm your body runs). For some it’s around 1.5–2 months, for others closer to 3. The best sign? If they feel harder to style, look dull, or have product build-up, it’s time for a wash.

Ponytail: usually every 20–30 wears.

Use lukewarm water with a sulfate-free, alcohol-free, protein-free shampoo + conditioner.

Pat dry with a towel, then let them air-dry naturally — can blow-dry but use heat protection.

Styling:

Heat is fine, just always use a protectant.

Keep the temperature between 160 - 180°C.

Only style once they’re fully dry — unless you’re doing heatless curls.

Products:

Avoid heavy oils and serums — they’ll weigh the extensions down and cause build-up.

If the ends feel dry, a tiny drop of a light oil is fine (only on the very ends).

Skip protein-rich shampoos and masks — they can make extensions stiff and brittle over time.

Colour

You can tone or go darker if you want a refresh.

Bleach is a no-go — it’ll damage the hair permanently.
